The process is designed to stay simple. Join the programme once, then choose the referral route that matches the amount of information you have available.
Average earnings are around £115 per paying client, although that figure is not guaranteed. Actual income depends on lesson volume, client duration, and referral quality.
What we do guarantee is that affiliates receive 50% of Latimer Tuition’s net commission from the clients they refer.
The affiliate forms are connected to Latimer’s session management system, which helps us keep each referral tied to the correct affiliate record.
A full referral gives us enough information to move quickly. A quick referral lets you register the lead early when you only have basic contact details.
Support and clarity
Straight answers to the questions people ask most often.
Latimer bills clients on a per-lesson basis. When one of your referred clients pays an invoice, our system adds a new line item to your draft payment order.
Your commission is 50% of Latimer Tuition’s net commission on that client. Our standard commission is usually 25%, so your share is often around 12.5% (+ VAT if applicable). Promotions can reduce Latimer’s commission on new referrals, which may reduce the amount due on those clients.
£115 is an average figure, not a guaranteed amount. Some clients stay for one month, while others remain with Latimer for years.
Payments are processed within 5 working days of the 1st of each month, and total earnings depend on how long the referred client remains active. For example, 100 paying clients over an average 12-month lifetime would amount to roughly £11,500.00 (+ VAT if applicable).
Yes. This is a no-strings-attached referral, and we will not restrict you or the client from continuing to communicate or do business together.
However, if you begin working with the client separately after the referral, it may affect how much of their tutoring goes through Latimer and therefore the commission Latimer collects.
Anyone with a UK bank account can be an affiliate with us, including companies, individuals, sole traders, charities, and other organisations. If you are unsure whether you fit the usual criteria, please contact us.
No. There is no cap on the number of referrals you can make or on the amount you can earn from a single client.
Client spending ranges from small lesson totals through to long-running engagements worth many thousands of pounds, and we will continue to pay 50% of all commission collected from the clients you refer.
Yes. We continue to pay commission for as long as the client remains engaged with Latimer, your bank account remains active, and Latimer Tuition is still operating.
If we ever have trouble transferring funds because your bank details have changed, we will request updated details and backdate what is owed.
Use the forms on this page: Become an affiliate, Submit a full referral, or Submit a quick referral.
These forms are connected to Latimer’s session management system, which helps us link each referral to the correct affiliate account. When you first become an affiliate, we email your login details so you can review the clients connected to you. If anything looks wrong, please contact us.
Yes. In your online account, you can view a detailed breakdown of commissions due, commissions paid, and the clients linked to those commissions.
Please use our Become an affiliate form.
To sign up, we need at least:
Use one of the two referral routes on this page.
Option 1: Submit a full referral
Option 2: Submit a quick referral
A quick referral is useful when you want to register the lead first and complete the detail later.
Within 5 working days of the 1st of each month, we generate a payment order for your account and transfer the commission due to your designated bank account.
That payment order can include all unpaid commission due, not only commission from the previous month.
No. As long as commission is due, it can be transferred to the bank account on file.
For clients, we accept online card payments and bank transfers. Affiliate commission payments are made by bank transfer.
Yes. Friends, colleagues, and wider contacts are all fine, as long as the referral is valid and has not already been assigned to another affiliate.
We reserve the right to decline a referral if the client, lesson payer, or student is already registered in our system, or if another affiliate has already referred them.
No. Once the client is created in our system and linked to you as the affiliate, we begin and continue paying commissions throughout the client’s lifetime while they remain engaged with Latimer.
That is fine. Whether you submit a full referral or a quick referral, the details you provide are logged against your affiliate account. If that person starts using Latimer later, they can still be linked back to you.
Not yet. You are welcome to share Latimer’s contact details and information with prospective clients, and if you have suggestions for useful marketing support, we would be happy to hear them.
Please contact Latimer Tuition directly.
There is no limit on the number of referrals you can make or the amount you can earn per referral.
However, we are not obligated to continue accepting referrals from you due to quality concerns or other reasons, and we will communicate any warning or intention to stop accepting new referrals. We would still continue to pay commissions for clients you have already referred.
We track all referred clients in our pipeline.
For full referrals, we can recommend tutors immediately or reach out for any extra information we need, and we may also direct the client to our Find a Tutor tool.
For quick referrals, we log the referred person’s details against your affiliate account so that if they start using Latimer later, they can still be linked back to you.
We are not pushy, and if the client is not ready to proceed immediately, we can follow up later.
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we do not provide regular hands-on updates to affiliates.
However, your online account will continue to show your client-linked payment activity, and you are welcome to stay in contact with the clients you refer. If you believe there is an issue that needs to be addressed, please contact us.
Please be truthful, open, and honest. We are not obligated to work with every affiliate, and if you act in a way that is not in the best interests of Latimer Tuition, we may stop accepting new referrals from you.
We would still continue to pay commissions for clients you had already referred.
All figures on this page are exclusive of VAT. When you Become an affiliate, we ask whether you are VAT registered. If you are, VAT at 20% can be added to your payment orders.
If your VAT or tax status changes, please contact us as soon as possible.
This will be a “Gentlemen’s Agreement”, and all our intentions are outlined on this page. For your records, please keep your communication with us documented in writing. We will fulfil our side of the agreement, but if you require a formal contract, we will respectfully decline.
For existing referred clients, we will not reduce the commission rate originally agreed. Any revised commission percentage would apply only to new referrals, giving you the choice of whether you want to continue under the new rate.
