Anoushka Mishra

Anoushka is a First-Class Honours Mechanical Engineering graduate from Bournemouth University, recognised regionally and nationally for her academic excellence. An award-winning engineer, including receiving the Women in STEM Award and the David Peacock Trust Award, she combines exceptional subject knowledge with a clear, engaging teaching style, helping students develop both understanding and confidence.

Having successfully navigated GCSEs, A-Levels and university herself, Anoushka understands the challenges students face. She draws on her own academic experience to explain complex concepts in a simple, structured way, enabling students to build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills and achieve their academic goals.

With over five years of tutoring experience in both one-to-one and group settings, Anoushka tailors every lesson to each student's individual strengths, goals and learning style. She has taught students across KS1–KS3, GCSE and A-Level, adapting her approach to suit visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinaesthetic learners, as well as nervous pupils who may need extra reassurance and confidence-building. Her patient, supportive and adaptable teaching style helps students develop a deeper understanding of their subjects, enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. She is also well-versed in the latest curriculum and examination specifications, ensuring lessons remain relevant and focused on success.

Outside of tutoring, Anoushka enjoys singing Bengali music, hiking and gardening, and is currently learning French.

Anoushka Mishra is a Mathematics and Science Specialist and a First-Class Honours Mechanical Engineering graduate from Bournemouth University. She is currently in her 4th year of a Masters of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering, and has been recognised for academic excellence, including receiving the Women in STEM Award and the David Peacock Trust Award.

With over four years’ tutoring experience in both one-to-one and group settings, Anoushka supports students across Key Stage 1–3, 11+, 13+, GCSE, and AS/A Level. As a maths tutor, physics tutor, and chemistry tutor, she helps learners strengthen core understanding, build confidence, and develop clear problem-solving methods. She is familiar with new syllabus content and current curriculum and examination specifications, and can also share insight from her own experience of GCSEs, A-Levels, and the university admissions process.

Students can expect lessons that are structured, simple to follow, and tailored to individual strengths, goals, and learning style (including visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinaesthetic preferences). Anoushka is particularly supportive with nervous pupils who benefit from extra reassurance. She provides lesson reports after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge. Her rate is £36.00 per hour.
