Ayesha Rafi

Ayesha is currently a fourth year medical student studying at the University of Sheffield with a keen interest in Anaesthetics and emergency care. She has over 3 years of tutoring experience, supporting a range of students with varying levels of abilities in order to help them strengthen their understanding of topics and subsequently boost their grades. She uses interactive approaches with schematics and diagrams where appropriate and emphasises the importance of students asking questions and seeing mistakes as a learning opportunity.

Ayesha is dedicated to the progression of her students and is passionate about curating a relaxed and friendly environment. Ayesha also has experience in helping students prepare for medical school applications, from reading over personal statements to being part of interview panels for applicants, and is happy to help aspiring medics where possible. Outside of education, Ayesha enjoys activities such as hiking, reading and crocheting.

Ayesha is a fourth-year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery student at the University of Sheffield. She has over three years of tutoring experience and supports Biology at KS3, GCSE, AS Level and A-Level, as well as Mathematics at KS3 and GCSE. Her own qualifications include A-Level grades of A*, A and A in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, alongside GCSE grades of 9, 9 and 8 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Her teaching uses interactive approaches, including schematics and diagrams where helpful, to strengthen students’ understanding of topics. Ayesha creates a relaxed, friendly setting in which learners are encouraged to ask questions and view mistakes as useful learning opportunities. She has experience working with SEN children across a range of abilities.

Ayesha can also support aspiring medical students with personal statements and interview preparation, drawing on her experience reading statements and serving on interview panels for applicants. Homework can be arranged, and she provides lesson reports after each session.
