Idris Adelakun

Idris is an experienced Mathematics and Physics tutor who supports students across KS3, GCSE, A-Level and IB. As a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Nottingham, he draws on his background in engineering, programming and machine learning to show students how mathematical and scientific ideas apply beyond the classroom.

Having delivered more than 500 hours of tuition to approximately 40 students, Idris ranked among the top 10% of tutors on previous tutoring platforms for performance and student feedback. He has developed a patient, encouraging and adaptable teaching style, breaking challenging ideas into manageable steps and using visual explanations and practical examples to deepen understanding.

Idris tailors each lesson to the learner’s confidence, goals and preferred pace. His aim is not only to improve grades, but also to develop lasting confidence, independent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach unfamiliar questions independently.

Idris Adelakun tutors Mathematics and Physics across KS3, GCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate, including Further Maths and Pure Maths at AS Level and A-Level. He holds a 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and achieved 42/45 in the International Baccalaureate.
