Rayyan Rizvi

Rayyan is a Third Year Medical Student at Peninsula Medical School. He's kind, calm, and experienced tutor with extensive experience working with students of varying abilities and skill sets. He's been with Latimer for a while and excels at providing personalised 1-to-1 lessons, identifying specific weaknesses in his students' learning, and turning them into strengths. He's worked with several students with learning difficulties, modifying his approach to suit different students.

Having recently completed secondary education (Year 13), Rayyan is up to date with the latest academic information. He understands that each student has a unique learning style and that making mistakes is a crucial part of the learning process.

In his spare time (other than tutoring!), Rayyan is a keen footballer and football coach.

He is currently a third-year medical student, studying for a Bachelors of Science in Medicine & Surgery at the University of Plymouth (Peninsula Medical School), and brings 4 years of experience as an online tutor.

Rayyan teaches Mathematics (including 11+, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, and GCSE), and also supports Science students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, and iGCSE. As a science and maths tutor, he aims to keep explanations clear and confidence-building, helping students pinpoint the exact topics holding them back and then practising until they feel secure.

Students can also expect a lesson report after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge.
