Rayyan Rizvi

Rayyan is a Second Year Medical Student at Peninsula Medical School. He's kind, calm, and experienced tutor with extensive experience working with students of varying abilities and skill sets. He's been with Latimer for a while and excels at providing personalised 1-to-1 lessons, identifying specific weaknesses in his students' learning, and turning them into strengths. He's worked with several students with learning difficulties, modifying his approach to suit different students.

Having recently completed secondary education (Year 13), Rayyan is up to date with the latest academic information. He understands that each student has a unique learning style and that making mistakes is a crucial part of the learning process.

In his spare time (other than tutoring!), Rayyan is a keen footballer and football coach.

Rayyan Rizvi is a UK-based mathematics tutor who offers calm, supportive 1-to-1 online tutoring at £25.00 per hour. He is currently a second-year medical student, studying for a Bachelor of Science in Medicine & Surgery at the University of Plymouth (Peninsula Medical School), and brings 4 years of experience as an online tutor.

Rayyan teaches Mathematics for 11+, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, and GCSE, and also supports students in Biology and Chemistry at Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, and iGCSE. Having recently completed Year 13 himself, he’s familiar with current secondary-school expectations and the kinds of misunderstandings that can hold students back.

In lessons, Rayyan focuses on personalised learning: identifying specific gaps, explaining concepts clearly, and building confidence step by step. He has experience working with students of varying abilities, including learners with learning difficulties, and adapts his approach to suit different needs and learning styles. Students can also expect a lesson report after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge.

Academically, Rayyan achieved A, A, A at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, as well as 7 A*s and 3 As at GCSE. Outside of tutoring, he is a keen footballer and football coach.
