Fabio Ferri

Fabio if an experienced mathematician and tutor with around ten years’ teaching experience. He holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Exeter and graduated 110/110 magna cum laude in Mathematics from Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. He later worked as a postdoctoral researcher specialising in algebra and number theory. He teaches from Year 7 to university level, with particular experience in GCSE, A-level and Further Maths, as well as higher education.

His lessons focus on developing genuine understanding, confidence and independent problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising methods. He adapts his teaching to each student, whether they need to strengthen foundations, prepare for exams or explore more advanced mathematics. He particularly enjoys helping students who have lost confidence rediscover their ability and develop a positive relationship with mathematics. His aim is to make lessons both supportive and intellectually rewarding, while maintaining a high academic standard.
