Biography
Mike is a highly experienced and qualified teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching English to students between 5 and 19 as well as adult learners and some TEFL for speakers of other languages. He has taught English Language and English Literature A level for his entire career, and is also highly experienced with GCSE teaching and key stage 3 from the age of 11 upwards. He worked with Explore Learning as a tutor and has been tutoring privately for 8 years both on line and in person. Mike has passionate belief in helping students to achieve their potential and conveys enthusiasm, variety of activities and positive solutions to learning obstacles in a variety of settings.
Having been based in Manchester for most of his life, Mike now lives in Edinburgh and is also working as a cover teacher in Edinburgh schools.
