What AS Level Law tutors can cover
OCR is the detailed AS Level Law specification evidence used here. OCR’s AS Level in Law focuses on the English legal system and areas of private and public law within the law of England and Wales. The OCR AS Law specification also says “no prior learning or knowledge of the subject is required,” which is useful reassurance for students starting Law for the first time.
A tutor can help students turn specification headings into workable understanding: what legal rules are, how courts and dispute resolution fit together, how criminal and tort rules apply to scenarios, and how to write with legal precision.
Families should still name the exact exam board and specification in the enquiry. Board content and availability can differ, so a good first message should include the board, teacher’s topic list or the school specification link if available.
