For students who wish to take lessons with Ollie, they will find that exam focus will be at the heart of the teaching that they will receive. Whilst students will be taught the respective content in an engaging and clear way, lessons will seek methods that can help students focus, remember and apply the necessary content to the assessment structure of the exam.

Across the six years that Ollie has been tutoring, only two students have failed, with the majority of students receiving Grade 5-7. Approximately 10% of his students achieve a Grade 8-9, whereas nationally, less than 5% achieve a Grade 8-9!

Ollie Blackwell is a UK-based English and Sociology specialist offering one-to-one online tutoring at £25 per hour. He teaches English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, AS Level and A Level, and also supports Sociology at Key Stage 2–3 through to GCSE, AS and A Level. Students can also work with Ollie on Criminology (GCSE–A Level), 11+ and 13+ preparation (including verbal reasoning and English skills), English as a Foreign Language, and A Level personal statement support.

Ollie has over 7 years’ one-to-one online tutoring experience. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelors of Social Science in Politics and Sociology, and received a first class grade for his dissertation on the impact of Covid-19 on GCSE educational experiences and achievement. Academically, he achieved A*, A*, A* in English Literature, English Language and Sociology at A Level, and A*, A, A in English Literature, English Language and RE at GCSE.

As an English tutor and Sociology tutor, Ollie puts exam focus at the heart of lessons. Students can expect clear, engaging teaching of the required content alongside practical methods to help them focus, remember, and apply knowledge to the assessment structure of the exam. He provides lesson reports after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge.
