Celine Henry

Celine is a qualified history teacher who is currently pursuing doctoral research on penal transportation in the British Empire at the University of Birmingham. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics, as well as a Master's degree in International Development. Previously, she worked as a teacher in the Middle East. Celine is an experienced writer, researcher, and teacher with extensive knowledge of international development, history, politics, world history, literature, international relations, anthropology, decolonisation, and post-colonialism studies. She has experience teaching history in the classroom and tutoring at KS2, GCSE, and A-Level. Her favourite topics, which she has taught, include World War I, World War II, India, Germany, America, and the Russian Revolution. Additionally, Celine has experience teaching Geography at GCSE, as well as Government and Politics at A-Level.

Celine Henry is a QTS-qualified Geography and Humanities teacher who supports students across History, Geography, and Politics. She is currently pursuing a PhD in History at the University of Birmingham, where she also teaches a Modern History module, and she brings strong academic depth to her tutoring through a BA in Politics and History (University of Hull) and an MSc in International Development (University of Edinburgh).

Celine regularly teaches and tutors History, Politics, and Geography for Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, and she also supports 11+ and 13+ preparation in History and Geography. Alongside this, she offers help with Government and Politics (GCSE and A Level) and Sociology (GCSE, AS Level and A Level). For students looking to strengthen wider humanities skills, she can also tutor English Language and English Literature (Key Stage 3, GCSE and iGCSE), as well as Spanish (Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE and iGCSE). She also has experience supporting History and Politics at bachelor’s level.

As an experienced examiner and moderator for GCSE and A Level examination boards, Celine can help students understand what exam questions are really asking and develop clear, well-evidenced responses. Celine’s rate is £30.00 per hour. She provides lesson reports after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge.
