Owen Pocock

Owen is a fully qualified teacher and French graduate who has first-hand experience living, studying, and working in France. A supportive and dedicated tutor, Owen is capable of connecting with students of different ages and backgrounds.

With over four years of experience in both classroom teaching and private tutoring, Owen is passionate about helping students succeed in learning French. Owen provides one-2-one lessons for learners from KS3 to GCSE and has previously helped students prepare for WJEC/Eduqas, AQA, and Edexcel exams.

Owen can tailor his lessons to meet the individual needs of his students, focusing on the skills and topics that will most improve student performance. To help you achieve the best results, Owen can also provide targeted support with past papers, exam techniques, and mark-boosting vocabulary.

Owen Pocock is a fully qualified French teacher and French graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in French from Cardiff University. Having lived, studied, and worked in France, he brings real-world language experience to lessons, helping students build confidence and communicate more naturally.

With over four years’ experience as a school teacher and private tutor, Owen supports learners from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant, supporting KS3 and GCSE students with additional learning needs. As a French tutor, he can help students prepare for WJEC/Eduqas, AQA, and Edexcel exams, with a focus on the skills and topics that will make the biggest difference.

Owen’s approach combines step-by-step guidance with regular testing, alongside targeted work on past papers, exam technique, and mark-boosting vocabulary. Students can also expect a lesson report after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge. Owen charges £30.00 per hour and can also offer support with Welsh for learners who would like to build their language skills.
